28. How do I store my diving board?

It is best if the original carton that we shipped the board in is used to protect the board during storage. If that is not available, you should put together a protective cover for the board.

The problem with storing the board(s) flat is that they take up a lot of space, and lying flat they are more likely to be walked on (with shoes and pressure on the slip-resistant surface). This is what you want to avoid.

When stored on the side edge, it is best to lean it against a wall and elevate the edge that it sits on, by setting it onto wood 2x4 pieces, to prevent that edge from rubbing on the deck and sitting in water that would otherwise drain toward and collect in the edge of the board.
