27. Why can't I order a one-meter stand without handrails?
In the U.S.A. it is a federal safety regulation that any elevated walkway, requiring 3 steps to reach that elevation, must have hand railing to prevent falls from that elevated walkway. If a customer removes the handrails, the customer assumes liability for such falls.
