The problems of installing another manufacturer's diving board on a Durafirm stand are these:
The diving board manufacturer determines where the board is supposed to bend, and what range of adjustment of the fulcrum is allowable for that board. For example, the S.R. Smith 16' board has a 12" adjustment range. Our Stand has a 24" adjustment range. S.R. Smith's warranty for their board may not be valid if the board breaks due to fulcrum adjustment outside their prescribed range.
The way our fulcrum adjustment works is that the metal "teeth" of the fulcrum roller "bite" into the rubber on the bottom of our diving board. If the other board does not have rubber on the bottom of the board, both board and fulcrum roller will be damaged. If rubber is put on the fulcrum roller, the mechanism of adjustment will be defeated.
If the board to be mounted on the Durafirm stand is less than 14' long, none of our guard rail systems will work.
