The cause is usually that the mounting of the board is loose, or the stand to which the board is mounted, has become unlevel or out of square, i.e. the ladder assembly and main support assembly centerlines no longer coincide.
First try centering the board and re-tightening the board bolts. Check the hinges; are they loose? If nothing is loose in the board attachment, and it still tracks to one side, review the stand installation.
Even a good installation can get out of adjustment over time. The action of the board during use tends to work deck attachments loose, and shims can slip. Go through the steps of installation with a machinist's level (a precision level). Be sure that the centerline of the ladder assembly coincides with the centerline of the fulcrum/main support assembly. Small angles in the back are amplified by the distance from back to front.
If you think the problem is with the board, not the stand, and you have 2 boards, switch the 2 boards: install the "problem" board on the other stand, and the "good" board on the "problem" stand.
